Regular practice times have been on Saturday mornings. The competition team will typically have an additional practice on Friday or Sunday.
Our program is made up multiple squads. Some participants are just interested in learning to shoot and want to try the sport. They will learn safety and the basics of shooting. They are not expected to shoot in any competitions.
Other participants want to advance their skills, shoot multiple disciplines and compete locally and/or nationally.
Our official season begins in Feb-March, weather permitting. It ends in the middle of July with the Nationals. This year they will be held at the Cardinal Shooting Center in Marengo, Ohio.

At our facility, we teach Trap, Skeet and Sporting Clays shooting. Once beginning shooters become comfortable with handling their shotguns, we encourage them to try all 3 disciplines. Shooters typically develop a favorite discipline. Each discipline provides it own unique challenges and skill set.
KC Crushers are part of the Scholastic Clay Target Program or SCTP. Our team was founded in 2011.
SCTP provides student athletes aged elementary through college with a supportive environment where shooting sports serve as catalysts for teaching life lessons and skills that emphasize positive character traits and citizenship values. Throughout all training, practice and competitions, we continue to instill in our participants a commitment to safe firearm handling, teamwork and leadership. Click here to read more about SCTP.
